Personal Blog
Each member profile has an option to have a personal blog. Here members can effectively and easily communicate things they want to share with readers: research, science news, reviews, ideas, opinions, conferences, life as a scientist, etc. Posts to personal blogs are un-moderated. See #Legal for more information. All blog posts have the option to be submitted for publication on #ResearchBLOG.

ResearchBLOG
ResearchBLOG is the official blog of the ResearchGATE science community. It is a science blog consisting of high-quality, reputable, scientifically accurate posts generated by ResearchGATE users. Members submit a post from their personal blog to be considered for publication on ResearchBLOG. Posts are catagorized into various diciplines. Posts consist of two main types: Microarticles and General Posts. Blog posts that have been previously published on a personal blog are welcome, but the submitting member must be original author.
Microarticles
Microarticles are a brief summary of a recently published peer-reviewed article, written in 300 characters or less. This allows readers to understand key concepts and findings quickly, and the condensed format affords individuals the time to easily explore areas of research which may be more peripheral, yet potentially important to their own field. Microarticles also contain a link to the original article, which is outside the character limit.
General Posts
General Posts can be a review of an individual article or a collection of articles, a news item, a book review, a general comment about something interesting in science, or a personal science related experience.
Contributor Guidelines
Microarticles
Submissions must be made through a personal blog within ResearchGATE. Posts should accurately and succinctly communicate a summary of a recently published peer-reviewed article in 306 (length of two text messages) characters or less. Key concepts and findings should be the focus of the Microarticle. Use abbreviations that make contextual sense, and use numerals in place of written numbers, but avoid using excessive ‘text jargon’ (e.g., b4, l8er). You must enter full reference information for the source of the Microarticle in the appropriate space on the submission form within your personal blog.
General Posts
Submissions must be made through a personal blog within ResearchGATE. The editors are looking for posts that are well-written, concise, accurate, and relevant to science. Controversial posts are accepted. There is no word limit, but avoid extraneous information. Citations and references must be supplied when relevant.
