If you see something on ResearchGate that is inappropriate or abusive, please report it to us. Our Community Support team will review reported content, remove it if necessary, and take further action if needed.

How to report content on ResearchGate
Profiles
To report a ResearchGate profile:

Log in to your ResearchGate account

Visit the ResearchGate profile you want to report

On the right side of the page, click on More
-
Select Report profile from the dropdown menu
- Select a reason for reporting

Tell us why you think the profile violates our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service

Click Submit report to finish.

Private messages
To report a private message sent to you by another ResearchGate member:

Log in to your ResearchGate account

Click the envelope icon at the top right of any ResearchGate page and click View all

Select the message from your inbox to open it

Click Report to the right of the subject line

Select Report message from the dropdown menu
- Select a reason for reporting

Click Submit report to finish.
Questions and discussions
To report a question or discussion:

To report a publication page, lab, or spotlight, please use our contact form:

Visit our contact form

Under What can we help you with? select Inappropriate content or behavior

Under What type of issue are you reporting? select the type of issue that best describes what you're reporting
- Enter the URL leading to the content on ResearchGate
- Select the type of page where is the content is visible
- Enter a brief summary of the issue in the Subject field
- Enter a detailed description telling us why you think the content violates our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service
- Include attachments if relevant your report (optional)

Enter an email address where we can contact you if we need further information

Click Submit.
