Understanding your stats
Your ResearchGate stats offer valuable insights into the impact of your work.
They provide a comprehensive overview of how your research is being engaged with by the scientific community. Beyond just numbers, your stats also allow you to see the researchers interacting with your work, offering opportunities to connect with them.
Discover who's interacting with your research.
Your stats are more than just numbers; they represent real researchers engaging with and learning from your work. On your Stats tab, you can view the profiles of your readers (subject to reader visibility settings), as well as researchers who are citing and recommending your work. Gain a deeper understanding of your audience through demographic information, including country, institution, seniority, and discipline. This allows you to connect with individuals interested in your specific research areas.
Get a comprehensive view of your work's impact.
The Stats tab provides a range of metrics designed to give you a holistic understanding of your research's reach:
Research Interest Score: This score combines reads, recommendations, and citations to offer a convenient way to track your work's impact within the scientific community. You can also compare your score with others to gauge their influence.
Reads: As citations can take time to accumulate, reads offer an early indicator of interest in your work from both ResearchGate members and non-members. You can also see which of your publications are most read each week.
Citations: Understand in detail how your work is being referenced by other researchers. Your h-index, also displayed, provides an indication of your impact based on citations relative to your publishing activity.
Recommendations: Recommendations from other ResearchGate members highlight the relevance and usefulness of your work to your peers.
Stay informed with weekly stats reports.
We provide a weekly stats report directly accessible from your Stats tab, and we'll notify you as soon as it's ready, ensuring you always have up-to-date information on your research's impact. These reports contain a breakdown of your reads by institution and country and also show which of your publications are being read.
Celebrate and share your achievements.
We believe it's important to acknowledge and enjoy your achievements. We'll notify you when you reach certain milestones for your stats, and you can easily share your accomplishments with others via social media to celebrate your success.
