#### Overview <a href="#overview" id="overview"></a>

Connecting with your co-authors and peers on ResearchGate is a great way to increase the visibility of your research and stay up-to-date with their work and publications.

There are two primary ways to invite researchers to join your network.

#### Inviting your co-authors <a href="#inviting-your-co-authors" id="inviting-your-co-authors"></a>

You can invite co-authors directly from a shared publication or from your profile page.

**Option A: From a Publication**

1. Go to any publication you have co-authored together.
2. Hover your mouse over your co-author's name in the author list.
3. Click the **Invite** button that appears.
4. Enter your co-author's email address and click **Send invite**.

**Option B: From Your Profile Page**

1. While logged in, click your profile picture in the top right corner of any ResearchGate page.
2. If you have co-authors who are not yet on ResearchGate, you will see the option **Invite your co-authors**. Click this option.
3. Enter your co-author's email address and click **Send**.

#### Inviting other colleagues and peers <a href="#inviting-other-colleagues-and-peers" id="inviting-other-colleagues-and-peers"></a>

You can also invite colleagues with whom you haven't co-authored a publication.

1. Visit the [**Suggest Researcher page**](https://www.researchgate.net/browse.BrowseSuggestResearcher.html)**.**
2. Click the blue **Invite colleagues** button on the page.
3. Enter your colleague's email address and click **Invite**.

Note: Before sending any invitation, you can click **Preview email** to see exactly what your colleague will receive.

#### Important information about invitations <a href="#important-information-about-invitations" id="important-information-about-invitations"></a>

* **Consent:** Invitations will only be sent in your name and on your behalf when you actively click the **Send** or **Invite** button. ResearchGate will never email your colleagues without your prior consent.
* **Reminders:** In some cases, ResearchGate may send up to two reminders following your initial invitation.
* **Tracking:** You can always view the status of invitations you have sent by clicking [**here**](https://www.researchgate.net/settings/invitations).
